The Dollars for Scholars 31st Annual Golf Tournament raised more than $7000 for the Gate City Alumni Chapter Scholarship Fund.

On Saturday, June 25, 68 golfers, forming 17 teams teed off at Stoney Creek Golf Course in Whitsett, NC.  While some teams started at the front nine holes, and others at the back nine, they all participated in a day of friendly competition.  No matter what they scored, everyone could feel good knowing they were contributing to the education of Guilford County Aggies!

WNAA’s Wild Irish Rose served as emcee during the awards ceremony.  There were prizes for Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive, and, of course, First, Second, and Third Place teams.  Other golfers won raffle prizes, which we all know were loaded with Aggie gear.

The tournament wound down with a lovely lunch served at the clubhouse.  Gate City Alumni Chapter considers the day to be a win for everyone.  We can’t wait to hold next year’s tournament there on June 25, 2023!
